Cable Saddle

The cable saddle is the key component of the superstructure of the suspension bridge. The main function of the cable saddle is to support the main cable and smoothly change the shape of the main cable. The saddle body of the main cable of the suspension bridge generally has three types: cast-welded, fully-cast and fully-welded structures. The cast-welded saddle groove part is made of cast steel, and the base part is a steel plate welding structure. The fully-cast structure is made of cast steel. Fully-welded parts are assembled by steel plates. The loose cable saddle is mainly of pendulum shaft type, and the forming method adopts the casting and welding form, that is, the saddle groove part is cast steel, and the base part adopts the steel plate welding structure. Some suspension saddles for suspension bridges are of steel bearing type, the saddle body part is a fully cast structure, and a steel bearing is set under the saddle body.
