Impact Buffer

mpact buffer is utilized to resist large braking loads, with high velocity and short stroke and is installed at the ends of the structures to avoid hard impact and guarantee the safety.

When the impact buffer is subjected to external loads, the piston rod is pressed into the cavity, compressing the damping fluid inside and generating an elastic force, while great friction is generated between the piston head, the damping structure and the high viscosity damping fluid. The higher the speed, the greater the viscous resistance, thus transforming impact kinetic energy into heat and elastic potential energy for releasing in a short period for energy absorption and storage. After the external load is disappeared, the impact buffer is automatically reset by the elastic potential energy stored in the damping medium in advance.
