High Damping Rubber Bearing

High damping rubber bearing consists of several layers of elastomer and steel sheets placed on top of each other with suitable connecting plates to the structures. The rubber provides energy dissipation in case of earthquake thanks to its visco-elastic properties and re-centering capability thanks to its elasticity. High damping rubber bearing issuitable to support large vertical loads with small vertical deflection, and can provide large horizontal displacement in case of earthquake, increasing the period the structure thanks to its low horizontal stiffness. This product can be widely applied to bridges, buildings and other civil engineering structures.
